I am on the hunt for a medium sized camel / tan leather handbag. I'd like for it to be a classic and a bit restrained in style but still have personality. I prefer it to have handles to be worn on the arm with an optional shoulder strap. The only thing I definitely don't want for this bag is the extended side gusset found on Givency Antigona, Celine Phantom and Celine Luggage. More than anything I want this bag to be a long term keeper with sumptuous, rich leather.

I don't know where to start looking for this and appreciate your input! PLEASE HELP!

For reference, there are two bags I kinda like but neither it perfect. The first is the Dooney Alto Evelina

Both are lovely!
What about a Chloé Marcie?

Thanks for the suggestion! But, while I like a lot of Chloe bags, I'm not a fan of the Chloe Marcie. All that stitching is a bit busy for me. And I want a bag that had more of a classic edge vs. boho. If I carry it to a client meeting, I want it to have presence without screaming with a logo, stitching, chains, doo dads, etc.

OMG! Love that bag! It may make me forget that it doesn't have the optional strap. Is it still in stores? Love. Love! 😍😍

Gucci Bamboo Shopper? Such a classic! Or the YSL Sac de Jour or Fendi 2Jours? You can put shoulder straps on all of them.

These are awesome suggestions. But as much as I love Gucci, I can't get happy with the bamboo. The YSL Sac Du Jours is on my hit list but I hadn't considered it in this color. Thanks for mentioning it!! 🎉👍 And The Fendi 2joirs leathers I've seen were saffiano. That's not an option for me for this bag. I'd really prefer a rich, traditional saddle leather for this one.

Yes. 😊 But of all my handbags, Prada is the brand I own the most. So I'd like to brand out a bit to see what other brands have to offer.

That being said, is there a specific model you think I should investigate?
Totally understand! I just did a quick google search for "prada camel" and saw many gorgeous bags. I recall one during their summer sale that was in calf leather.

What's your budget? Out of the top of my hat now, it's Dior's Diorrissimo. It looks like your first bag without the gusset.

I missed your post. Sorry! I'd like to stay under $2500 with this bag (new or pre-owned) but I don't feel I have to spend that much on it to get a great bag.

But, with that price range, I don't think the Diorissimo is an option. But it's a gorgeous minimalist bag with such a cute accent in those charms!
