Calling watch enthusiasts- Cartier Santos or Bulgari Serpenti. Help me pick.

Hello everyone,

Please help me pick between these two fabulous time pieces.
The Cartier Santos medium SS or the Bulgari serpenti SS double spiral without diamonds.
Both are Classic time pieces and very well known as well as recognised.
One veers towards sporty and the other one dressy almost like jewellery.
They are almost in the same price bracket.

So far I’ve got a Rolex datejust 36mm RG/SS with diamonds, a Franck Muller curves WG with diamonds.
Looking to add something wearable yet versatile that’ll add to my collection and serve as a unique timeless piece.

You have beautiful arms that are on the slender side. I find the Santos a bit heavy-looking on you, whereas the Serpenti compliments you perfectly.

Agree with @papertiger . This santos is too large for your wrist, and I say that even though I love oversized dials. It looks like you are wearing your boyfriend’s watch. So, IMO only, it’s not a fair comparison. The serpenti is a perfect fit. Decades ago, I used to wear a smaller santos, and I prefer the santos as a watch style to the Bulgari serpenti watch. I happen to prefer the Bulgari serpent as a bracelet. I wear the tubogas with diamonds bc the viper is too thin for my medium build.

No doubt the Serpenti. It brings out the best of your arm! If that makes sense. And it’s a head turner piece.

Serpenti for sure. Since you already have some good daily wear watches, a Serpenti would be wonderful for special occasions but also when you want to make your casual outfit stand out.

I guess I'm the only one that likes the Santos better. I love oversized watches, so I guess that's why I like it so much.

The Serpenti looks gorgeous on you. I’d also throw a Cartier panthere into the mix for consideration.

Definitely the Serpenti, it looks absolutely fabulous on you and it's a nice variation to what you already have . It also looks way better on your wrist (it actually looks perfect) than Santos, which looks too big for the size of your wrist IMHO.

Seeing your current collection, I'd go for the Bvlgari. Especially if you're looking for something unique, the Bvlgari serpenti is definitely unique.
Echoing others, I feel that with due to your slim wrists and arms, the Bvlgari compliments your figure more.
The Santos would just be a stronger more masculine look if that's what you're going for.

Though I am a bit biased because I already have a Panthere (not the same as a Santos but it also has a square face, I'd prefer a different shape) and Bvlgari serpenti is my favorite line.

Bulgari Serpenti, it really suits you. Plus, it's like a piece of jewellery, too, as you say, and that makes it very versatile.

I love oversized dials too. Occasionally, I wear my husband’s 44mm Panerai and I simply love the look
