Hi guys, just wanted to hear from bond st bb owners, or bond st owners. How are you guys finding the bag?

I have searched the forum, however not many people have it? I recently saw one on Instagram which sparked my interest. Looks so cute, and was thinking how come this bag is under the radar. Especially with the bond st bb looking so cute. Looks very similar to cluny and crosiette, and wanted to get some idea on what people thought of it. Any issues? As it has has the flap like the pochette metis.

For those that have it, what are your likes and dislikes? And for those that didn’t buy it, how come? Only a few YouTube videos as well, so not much at all. I’m just wondering why. Have people not found it appealing and picked something else. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

Does anyone know how long it has been out as well?

Thanks for all the help. Happy Sunday!! It’s pouring where I am, but I hope it’s great weather where you are.

Hi Bumbles. I tried on the bond st bb in store. It is cute, no doubt. I previously had a croisette and I felt like the bond st is superior in many ways:
- has feet (my croisette always fell over)
- handle folds down (croisette poked my stomach every time I opened the flap)
- magnet closure convenient (croisette didn’t latch unless Bag was full)
- pretty strap (in pink)
- pretty luggage tag
- nice pop of leather that elevates the bag

I didn’t buy it because:
- the expandable sides didn’t seem that functional. The flap doesn’t seem to close well if the bag really was expanded and stuffed to the brim. If you keep it buttoned all the time, the opening is kind of narrow and tight to get things out of. If the sides were magnetic like the claptop backpack it would work much better. Then you can pull the bag open when you want to get something out, and the magnets can snap together again when you close the flap. So I’m not a fan of the buttons.
- it just seemed kinda small in terms of capacity. Granted, I did not try all of my things inside, as I was just casually browsing. I feel like an Alma bb would hold more, but I don’t have anything to base that on.
- it’s cute, but overall still seemed kinda plain to me. It’s a canvas flap bag with a leather strip. It’s not a distinctive silhouette like the Pochette Metis, for example. I get they want to charge more for the leather strip, but I feel there are other bags with more unique designs I like more.

I also saw the regular size bond street, which is definitely more roomy, but I felt it looked matronly on me.

Again, I only tried this bag on casually a couple of times in store, I didn’t put anything in it, but these were just my first impressions. So at this time I’m passing for something more special.

I considered the bb between the Clapton pm and the croisette. I have decided to go with the Clapton. I saw a YouTube video of someone that owned it and complained the bag kept popping open. I can't remember if it's a magnet closure, but it's too weak or something. I also can't remember which size the lady had. It's been a few weeks since I watched the video.
If it wasn't for the closure issue I do find it superior to the pochette metis. To me it looks like a school bag.

Great bag (mine's the regular size). Have you looked at the Clubhouse thread? First of all, it's just got a beautiful shape, and it's a roomy enough medium-sized bag. The magnetic closure works just fine and stays closed, provided you take the nanosecond to line the flap up so it catches correctly. I don't pay any attention to the side grommets that close it down. I use mine unsnapped, for the room.

Hi @Bumbles
I have the Bond St with Magnolia pink leather and absolutely adore it  I purchased mine about a year ago and was debating on either this or the Cluny in epi leather.
I went with the Bond st because i loved how it looked on me. I love a top handle bag but also having the crossbody option this ticked both boxes.
It is very roomy inside and I have used it when travelling on citibreaks and in both casual and formal occasions, and would make a really good work bag if you didnt need to carry a laptop. It is very easy to open and close with a super strong magnetic closure and i like the side poppers which are handy to expand when you need to put extra things in :) The strap is very comfortable and its nice that it has both the pink leather or ebene brown leather options too.
The bb version was released more recently and i think that is really cute too but I do like the larger size.
I think it would depend on your height etc as I'm 5"4" it works crossbody on me but if you are taller it might not.
I dont have any negatives about the bag :)
Hope this helps with your decision.

Thanks Annawakes. Yes I agree with all of your points. I like it but then I feel it’s not unique or as special as some of the other bags. I guess I’ve been eyeing this in the pink and also the Saintonge pink one as well. They are two different bags but both beauitful, but I’m undecided as I need a casual bag and the bond st maybe too formal for me. I was a crossbody runaround grab and go bag. The thing I’m not fond of with the Saintonge is the two tassels, (but then the more I look at it the more I like it, lol), the strap is not adjustable detachable (but then does that really matter???) but most of all the wrinkling on the sides. Will that be a big deal. The bond st doesn’t fit what I want but it’s such a beauitful bag too! I don’t know what to do lol Thanks for your comments though

Thanks fernsmum!! I really appreciate your comments. I’m so torn because initially I’m tossing up between the heart bag and Saintonge. Two totally different bags, but I was really to pick one. Now the bond st bb is in the mix. I don’t know what to do. Originally I thought
1. Heart bag is unique, not many people will have it. It’s cute and luxurious and I don’t have a black bag which is great. Downside is doesn’t fit my phone and quite small. I know you have this bag gorgeous by the way
2. Saintonge mono in pink: definitely functionality I need in a runaround bag, casual errands, grab and go. Negative is the wrinkling and also strap is fixed and maybe tassels but Im started to dig that now. Also I’ve always been fond of the Gucci disco soho side so this is great. And also great travel bag which is also what I need.
But then now
3. Bond st bb is in the mix. It’s feminine, girly formal. Beautifully made. I’m so torn. What do I do. They are all different bags that’s why it’s hard and I only want to get one now. Do you also have the Saintonge? Then you can really compare all three for me. I have tried them all in store and all look good and suit me. Just what is best for my needs.Any help would be great. Thanks so much

Its so hard when there are so many lovely bags to chose from and LV keep releasing ever more lol !
I don't have the saintonge but have seen it in person, its not my taste I really don't like the tassels or the fact you cant remove the strap but that's just me :)
The Bond St bb is really cute and very different to the Heart bag so really hard to compare, I think you need to decide which would suit your needs/ what you want to use it for but also I generally go with what makes my heart sing ;)
Sorry if this doesn't help you but do let us know what you finally decide on

I have the Bond Street and LOVE it. I saw a video where the person was concerned because it wouldn’t stay closed. I have not had that problem at all. I imagine if you overstuff it (like with any magnetic closure) it would pop open. I finally sold my Favorite because the magnet was so weak it would not stay securely closed. The magnet on this one is extremely secure. I love it because it looks good both ways-as a cute crossbody or a nice lady purse when I want one.

Why don't you like the 2 tassels? I think they are cute. It would look so plain without them
