Calling all OLD Style Edie 28 owners!

For anyone who owns an Edie 28, when you put your stuff in it (assuming you don't over stuff it), do the sides stay folded in when you connect the clasp at the top? I've attached 2 pictures. In the first picture is the clasp not closed, and in the second one it is?

I know this is REALLY late response but I wanted to comment that my old Edie does look like the second photo when it's full. Having said that, I never stuff my purse but I imagine it would bulge out as it is in the first photo. The first photo definitely does not have the clasp done up on the inside.

Did you end up taking the plunge? There are lots of the old style Edies on eBay if you're still interested.

No, I am looking for a good deal on the colorblock navy, green, and tan one. I keep checking eBay for it.
