Thought I would toss this out to the lovely purseforum community. Yesterday, my sister gifted me this passport cover that had belonged to our late mother.

I would guess that she purchased in the 1980’s. I have attached some not so great photos. It has two sleeves within the cover. Each sleeve can hold two items. The front inside cover has a plastic sleeve and the back cover has slots for credit cards, etc. It measures 5.5 x 4 inches.

Just curious if anyone has any knowledge as to age, etc.

I also have a small calculator within a LV cover that I have somewhere along with a little agenda/note pad. Both were hers and also probably purchased in the 80’s. Will find those and post pictures if anyone interested.

Thank you all!

I do have an answer for you, but can you also post the a photo of the calculator? Is it the checkbook version or just the machine itself ?

Hi @SouthTampa

I found your beautiful sentimental LV heirloom in one of my vintage catalogs. It's actually not listed as a "passport holder", but maybe that's how it was used by her. I can't tell by the photo how many window pages yours has.

This is from my 1985 catalog. It also shows up in my 1984 book, but it was easier to photograph on one page. There is an exact case listed as "European Porte-carte...". which has a different number. I am guessing the window cases were used for visa papers and identity cards which were distinct and not all contained in the passport-type booklet of today. I think it stopped being produced by 1990 as it no longer appeared as a regular item in the book. What a wonderful memory to receive and it looks like it is in immaculate condition !!
