I just got a new LV at the boutique this past weekend, date code: SD1016. Can anyone translate that into something meaningful for me? (And a note on the wallets, MY 2007 damier wallet -- purchased at the same LV boutique as my bag -- has no date code either!! Weird?)

Try looking along the seams of the wallet. Date codes are a lot harder to find on wallets since they're so close to the seam and sometimes colorless. ush:

Acutally, it would mean that your bag was made in the 22nd week of 2007.

First & third number= week
Second & fourth number= year

Are you sure that the date code doesn't read VI0047 and not VI0407? VI0047 is legit and means that the bag was made in France in the 4th week of 2007.

Date code is legit. That would mean that the bag was made in France on the 3rd week of 2007.
