Since all California stores seem to be experiencing new restrictions that have affected their ability to offer special orders (i.e. “SO”/a la carte) and sell furniture, and since there is a lot of customer confusion around what is going on right now with California store offerings and many customers are not comfortable sharing which specific stores they shop at for privacy reasons, I figured it could be a good idea to have a general thread to discuss information we learn about California store restrictions and offerings so we can help each other without needing to share exact boutiques we shop at.

Have any Californians received a QB yet in 2025? (I haven’t noticed posts that mention QB offers from any California boutiques yet this year).
And have any Californians heard new info from their boutiques about if/when the SO program will resume in California?

I received a surprise K25 in January. I don’t have any info on SO bags, but my boutique just did ordering for SO exotic shoes. The only exotic available is crocodile for us— no lizard can be sold in CA and ostrich was also not an option. That may not be news to most of you, but I had really wanted to place an order for lizard and hadn’t realized we cannot purchase here.
