I recently purchased a beautiful caramel old medium boy in calfskin. I’ve only had the usual grained caviar bags so this is a new material for me. I live where it rains frequent and with my caviar bags I have no worries but with the calfskin I’m unsure! How does it wear with rain or water? I don’t want water spots on the leather! Any advice or suggestions? I’ve read calfskin is sturdy, but I’m scared of water! Haha! Thanks so much!

I would still be cautious of calf in the rain. You don't need to baby it however I wouldn't take mine out if I knew it would rain. You can pack a raincoat so when it rains it's protected. There's heaps of bag raincoats out there these days.
