Hi, I’m thinking about getting the Selena leather clutch by Nordstrom, which comes in red, black, white, snakeskin and leopard print, and I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with this bag or any other bags from Nordstrom. Anything to say about the quality and durability of the leather? TIA

I haven’t purchased a Nordstrom bag before, but have gone in stores in 2019 to look at quite a few of them in person. (I’ve noticed some places did have a quality change in 2020, so I’m not sure about their current batch!) My impression of the quality was about on par with Madewell if Madewell used pebbled leather— definitely durable for daily use but will probably show wear in 1-3 years, with reasonable construction for the price, but nothing particularly outstanding/impressive.

Thanks for your input! I do have a madewell tote bag that has lasted pretty long, but it does show wear, but I still think I'll get the clutch. I won't use it that much so maybe it'll last longer? I'm just looking for an affordable clutch bag because I want to spend the most on my everyday bags and the least on special occasion bags. (or the same on all of them).
