Hello Ladies,

I am looking to buy a watch for an upcoming milestone and could definitely appreciate some help in decision making. Rolex datejust has always been my dream watch for so many years but when I tried Bvlgari tubogas my heart literally skipped a beat.

I believe Rolex is something so classic that I could pass on for generations but tubogas looks so gorgeous and unique. Which one to go for? For context I own a Cartier santos in stainless steel as my everyday watch

Third pic :)

But they are all gorgeous

Follow your heart and don’t second guess yourself!

I love the Cartier santos too. I think it’s more elegant than the Rolex (I’ve given a few of my Rolexes to family)

Gosh, what a hard decision. Including the Santos you already have, they are all quite unique in shape and design. Usually I'd just go for something that isn't too similar to what I already have, but of course, the Bvlgari and Rolex are so different! (in a good way haha).

If you don't care about retention of value, then go with what you love.

Between the two, I feel like I would choose the Rolex because:
1) It holds its value much better
2) Rolexes are generally harder to get, with Bvlgari I can probably go in anytime to get it.
3) While prices will always be going up for both, the Rolex will probably increase more in price (in amount and frequency) within a shorter time frame.

While I can be quite instinctive with jewelry and watches, I personally may have more regret on not getting a longtime wishlist piece when I had the chance only to either no longer have the opportunity to buy it again or if the price goes above what I'm willing to pay for.

If you're heart is with Bvlgari, between the two I'd go for the double wrap. More unique and really shows that serpentine theme.
But including the diamonds, it's definitely more of a statement piece. The single wrap would be easier to wear casually or more daily.

Both are great choices. I would go for the one that makes you smile every time you look at it. If you don't buy it now, you'll keep thinking about and eventually want to buy it anyways.

Can't go wrong with either, it's a good problem to have.

Wow, tough call - they are all so beautiful! @lill_canele has some valid points about the value of Rolex and getting something that has been on your wish list for a long time....

But, since you have a Santos (LOVE!) as an everyday watch, the Bulgari is an awesome "second" watch for evenings or just anytime dressing slightly more elevated. Then again, heck, I'd strut that single-wrap Serpenti with a t-shirt! It's so unique! Sometimes what we think we want changes and we make a happy discovery trying on something new!

I had the same dilemma! Was also looking for a watch for a milestone. I ended up with the Tubogas because I already had a "everyday" watch. Also, although the Tubogas is a quartz (and my only quart) watch... I feel it's more of a statement jewellery piece than a watch to me. 😊
I was undecided until I went into store to try the Tubogas... and my heart clearly said Tubogas. 😬
This is the one I got:

Both look good on your arm. But, since I don't prefer quartz watches, I will go with the Rolex. A Rolex is a classic one, and is timeless..perfect for passing it on from one generation to the next. Also, that Rolex is unisex, but that Bvlgari has a feminine design..so it will limit who you can give it to in the future. Those are just my opinions. Pick what you really like & what makes you happy.
