Hi guys!

Just wanted to know if you guys had any watch recommendations that would pair well with the Serpenti Viper bracelet? For reference I am a 5’11’ guy. I have the Demi-pave one in yellow gold. I tried on two watches from Cartier that my SA recommended!

One was the Cartier Tank Américaine in a matching yellow gold which I thought looked very nice together with the viper bracelet but don’t know if I like the watch by itself lol.

Second picture is the Cartier Tank Louis which I like as well. This one is a case of I would like the watch by itself but the other watch probably pairs better with the viper.

Not sure what do you guys think of these combos? Or should I look at something else entirely? Would love to hear some suggestions!

Thank you!!

💯 agree. I prefer this one as sleeker than the second, but I don’t recommend buying anything, watch included, unless you absolutely love it. I’m fond of Cartier design for watches.

One tip is that I suggest you also take a full length pic with watch and bracelet for yourself. So, you can compare whether a suggested watch pairs with your style. When I do this, I try to wear the same kind of neutral outfits that allow me to focus on the item I’m thinking of buying

Yes I completely agree! Guess I’ll wait longer and see how I feel about it and if the desire is still there that will be the sign haha. And yes that’s a smart idea! I’ll try that next time I go in!

Full length pics are so helpful in making decisions like these. In these wrist shots, I prefer the Tank Americaine on you. Do you have a pic of you wearing just the watch?

I would never wear a bracelet like that next to a watch with a polished case. They both will be scratched and dinged before you even leave the store. If you can handle the resulting “patina,” then pair away!

Alright guys! I went back in today and tried to get some full length shots and all but sorry they are a little blurry still lol. Also tried on the santos as well and I think I like that the best and with the full shot I think the tank might look the best but let me know what you think. I think since I’m a bigger guy in the full length shots the bigger watches now look better. But let me know what you guys think!

The good thing is that I actually got my serpenti braclet more snug fitting so it actually doesn’t move which might help! Does not really slide up and down my arm much, so luckily it will be pretty stationary with the watch!

Here is everything together again with both wrist shots and full body!
1) Santos
2) Tank Louis
3) Tank Americane

What do you guys think?

My personal favorite of the three watches is the Santos. I prefer chunkier watches and the Santos has always been a favorite. However, I still prefer the tank Americaine if it is in combination with the bracelet. Have you thought about switching the bracelet to your other wrist and picking the watch that is your favorite?

ETA: of course, you should absolutely follow your heart regardless of what any of us say :) you know your taste and what will make yourself happy :)

Yes honestly I agree! Before I was trying to find another bracelet that would stack well with the serpenti but honestly I think I’m just coming to realize that the serpenti is best on its own! And then at that point I also personally love the santos design the most by itself, and I can’t always think about just wearing it when it’s stacked right? But yeah I think you are right! Appreciate the insight!
