Hi, I bought this handbag pre-loved but a metal piece to close it came off and I’m not sure what it’s called and or where to take it to get it fixed. It seems like it could be a simple repair and I would rather not send it off. Does anyone have any idea what the piece is called so I can ask a repair shop for help? The bag has been sitting in my closet for 2 years now and I would like to be able to use it again. Thanks for any input!

Re what the part is called; I googled it and came up with this :
snap fastener, also called snap button, press button, [1] press stud, [1] press fastener, dome fastener, popper, snap and tich (or tich button)
I think a press button or popper button might be common terms that I’ve heard before
The hardware on your bag is known as a collar button stud, or collar stud.
