Just curious if any of you love the Bvlgari handbags? You can see them on Bvlgari.com. I am usually a Chanel girl but some of these bags are gorgeous. IF anyone has a Bvlgari I would love to hear your opinion!

A friend of mine is big on Bulgari. She normally carries a small black leather backpack and is looking for a messenger bag. However, she's been having trouble tracking one down here in Vancouver and to save some cash she is thinking of ordering it from the Caribbean and having it shipped to a friend's in the US (all a bit complicated if you ask me). She was hoping to purchase some jewelry too but is currently saying no due to costs.

They style the logo BVLGARI because it's written "in the classical Latin Alphabet (Where V = English U)" (source: Wikipedia). The company's name is indeed "Bulgari".

The Greek founder Sotirios Voulgaris' name in Italian was Sotirio Bulgari.

Anyways, as for their handbags, I find the styling is definitely more mature and/or conservative...their mens selection is EXTREMELY mature and conservative (very Ferragamo or Cartier).

I have several Bvlgari jewelry pieces and the stamps, receipts and boxes all say Bvlgari also the store front sign is Bvlgari. I know that you can search using both spellings but I have only known the Bvlgari spelling. Anyway, I'm curious why you say the bags are conservative, I saw several (purchased one) that are very edgy. I will post a picture of the bag.

Bvlgari, or Bulgari, either are acceptable. I tend to be traditional, as is the brand and use the V as they do.

I have the Dalia and I love it, it's great quality, roomy and just an all round beautiful bag. It's made of buffalo leather and is quite a thick leather on this particular bag with a large gold coloured BVLGARI hardware buckle type ring at the front - it's quite heavy and I couldn't use it everyday... but I love it!!

I'm inclined to agree with Shigeru to the fact that Bvlgari is a conservative establishment but at the same time, their handbags do remind me a bit of Ferragamo. I think it's a positive thing though. It's wonderful for the woman who wants to own a bag for many years and just wear and enjoy it every day. I've never yet seen one IRL because they seem to only sell the bag in their boutiques, but I do like the way they look!

Mum purchased the Chandra bag and I absolutely dislike it (u would never catch that bag on my arm). I told her I didn't like it in the most polite and nicest way but now she making me feel bad. Seriously for that ridiculous price

I know this is an old thread but hopefully more people are discovering the stunningly beautiful Bvlgari handbags! I purchased the Chandra bag in rich textured leather while in Atlanta at the Bvlgari boutique....lovely store...and LOVE this bag! To me it's in the same class as Bottega Veneta...both are Devine leather bags, timeless and classy.

Anyone purchase a Bvlgari bag recently ?

Thank Silverrun! I'm thinking of the one in dark green karung but there was another one a greyish blue karung. The thing is the clasp on the green is much prettier. I might ask my mum to buy it for me in her trip to London where it is cheaper and she can claim VAT back. I live in Dubai and it costs more here - around 14000 AED which is over 2000 GBP.
The thing is I'm not sure whether I should get another bag or a nice watch or a tennis bracelet. I just celebrated my 35th birthday and so this is present that I am yet to cash... Can really use some advice. Xx
