Buying watch straps

Does anyone have an experience with buying straps at Cartier? When I went in Texas, the SA mentioned having to get in touch with service people?

We will be going to Cali soon and my husbands birthday is coming up, I tried to call that location and she said she would look into it for me but the call dropped, called back, another SA said she would relay the message.

I would love to buy one or two new straps for his watch. Has anyone been able to walk in and buy straps there or is it something we need to order?

Hi you normally need to order and can do so thru any AD. Takes a few weeks and once comes they can change them for you

I had croc/gator straps made for my vintage roadster and my SA placed the order for me. I went to my local boutique and selected from the book of color leather swatches. My order took a couple of months and this was in Fall of 2019.

I’m in Toronto (Canada) and I just made a custom order for a croc strap. For my order, it’s estimated to take 15 weeks as it’s coming from France. I needed a shorter strap size for my Tank and I wanted a dark grey color.

It’ll depend on the watch and how custom it is. Sometimes, if it’s a watch they’re still selling, the strap will be on hand. I didn’t realize the Tank has like 4 strap variations, and I’m glad I just went in with my watch to speak to my SA. He was able to show me the differences between the straps and he helped me chose the right one.
