Buying pre owned JUC in Europe

Has anyone any advice on this? I know VC sell them but they’re so hit and miss and their authenticity testing isn’t reliable.
Is there anywhere else I could buy one? There used to be marketplace on here but it’s gone.

There are a few businesses online that sell high end 2nd hand jewelry and offer guarantees, there are a few in the UK, I would google by country? Personally I would just feel a bit better if I know the legal situation, the laws vary so much, in the UK, it is "Give back item, get money back" whereas in Germany somebody selling a fake needs to give you the real item as you are not allowed to sell fakes, and possibly will be liable for fines.

I'd be more inclined to buy from a jeweler, with a guarantee, because in that price range, you don't want to have to worry if you got the real thing or not.

Which country are you looking for? I know some in the UK, when I lived in Germany often high end jewelers accepted Cartier and didn't advertise that they sold pre-loved items, I would simply call them, so you can actually also see the item in person if it is nearby, but every city will have at least several high end jewelers, that would be a good starting point? But if I give you UK jewelers and you are somewhere else, you might not feel as relaxed about buying.

Btw pawn shops usually check items they accept, people might need cash quickly for various reasons and decide to pawn items?

I would happily try either UK or Germany as I can’t buy in person anyway!
