Hi everyone,

I'm new here and have browsed through the forum looking at everyone's beautiful watches! I'm in the process of purchasing my first rolex and am having a difficult time deciding on which one. I already know for sure i want a datejust 36, TT (debating between rose gold or yellow gold), jubilee strap, fluted bezel. On top of deciding between YY or RG, i have a few dials in mind.
I've tried on a YG with MOP dial with roman numerals, as well as RG with white dial and RN. I also attached pics of other dials i'm considering. I'm leaning towards the RG, and I like the MOP dial but apparently they don't have that in the RG with roman numerals, only with diamonds but i feel that MOP + diamonds together is a bit too flashy for me, especially with the TT (either one or the other is my preference). I'd love to hear your guys' thoughts on what you prefer and whether RG or YG looks better on my skintone, as well as which dial. In terms of jewelry, i have rings in both rose gold and yellow gold, so either option would match.

Sorry for the long post, thanks in advance!

I just got my 3rd Rolex and it is a black diamond dial 36mm DJ, but I also closely considered a TT as well.
If I went that route I would have chosen YG with silver or white dial for a clean, bright look (champagne looks older or more outdated I think. And black is too harsh).

I liked RG but seems more faddish than YG which I think will stand the test of time better. But that's just my opinion.

I prefer YG. Love that combination on the left with MOP. MOP is my favourite dial.

Somehow RG blends into your skin tone and doesn’t make the watch pop.

I think RG looks better on tanned skin.

YG is really classic, so that's my pick. I agree with the other poster who thought RG is a bit on the fad side--there have been years and years without women wearing RG on watches and bracelets, but never a slow time for beautiful yellow gold.
