So I have been a pretty dedicated Coach girl however walking thru Macy's the other day the Michael Kors large Hamilton tote caught my eye in a big way! Love the styling and love the leather. I could not decide what color I like best - luggage or vanilla. So I bought both of them on presale for the big F&F 25% off sale. I get to pick my beauties up today - but I can only keep one!

What are people's thoughts on the colors? I really love the vanilla however I am concerned about color transfer (I wear a lot of jeans) and also just general getting dirty (I did read some other posts on here talking about the light colors getting dirty). The luggage strikes me as a classic color that I can carry year-round but is it kind of boring?

TIA!!!

I love the luggage and it's a beautiful tanned leather colour. The vanilla is nice too but I'm weary of white bags - I've had them before with colour transfer and it's just annoying!

I say luggage too. I would never use a vanilla bag as an every day bag, just on certain occasions because of color transfer and/or it getting dirty.

I actually didn't like the luggage color much in the beginning but I've actually warmed up to it a lot. I think you'll be able to relax and enjoy the luggage color much more that the vanilla.

Does the luggage have gold or silver hardware - it has been made in both.

Thank you for the replies! Making me feel better about going with the luggage color. This one has silver hardware which I personally prefer. I do want a bag I can 'toss' around and use every day so the vanilla definitely does not fit that category! I am just so drawn to the color but its really not practical!

The luggage is a great choice and I don't think it's boring at all. If you want something in vanilla, maybe look for a different MK bag that you can wear on your shoulder, that way you won't have to worry about it rubbing against jeans (I also have this concern) and getting color transfer.
Luggage is a great year around color and will complement your wardrobe. Enjoy!
