Hi all,

I was wondering if you can help me with this.

I'm looking at a bracelet from the Brian Gavin website. I don't live in the US and can't get it myself, and my cousin who lives in the US would get me the bracelet.

How does tax work? How much would they add to an $800 piece?

I'm clueless about this and would like to know how much the actual cost would be.

TIA! :D

Sales tax is collected at the State level.
The sales tax due would depend on which state your cousin, the buyer, resides.
As a practical matter, unless the buyer lives in the state where the store/jeweler is located, the tax payment responsibility falls on the buyer....and those taxes are rarely paid.
