Buying from YSL boutique in Hawaii

Hello!

I read an article saying that it’s cheaper to buy YSL bags in Hawaii by 20%. My question is, if I call one of the boutiques in Hawaii to purchase a bag, (California resident), would I still be able to receive that 20%? Or would I just pay the retail price that’s in my state?

You need to be physically at the boutique in Hawaii to get the 20% discount.

I purchased the Loulou - medium earlier this month via a friend who lived in Honolulu. He had to be physically present to receive the 20% off discount. I had the bag shipped to Texas where I live so I paid my state’s sales tax. The discount with Honolulu’s taxes was $1918. Great savings overall! Don’t think I would have purchased at regular price.
