Buying Chanel in Korea

Did you buy it yet? I was also wondering the same thing.. I thought it might be cheaper to buy from korea since the drop of the won value and I wouldn't pay tax(not sure?)

fyi, it is much more expensive in korea
because in korea they have no tax agreement with the european countries. so anything european, designer or cars or what not is more expensive there.

eg. they wanted $1000 CDN for speedy 25

BUT on your way out of the country, you can get chanels at the duty free. korea's known for its duty free malls were you pay US price in US dollars/korean but there is no tax.

oh, forgot to tell you, they do have taxes its just included in the price that they give you.

and at the lotte duty free i was quoted $2300 US for medium caviar flap but that was august '08

Hi, ladies,

Thank you for the information, really appreciated your help. Didn't expect it would be so expensive. Anyway,, sad to say, my korea holiday plan didnt work out as friend couldnt make it..:sad:
