Buying Birkin from reseller - Need your help!

Hi everyone! I just bought a birkin through a reseller platform brand new with everyhting

They were going to ship it today and told me that the lock, keys , clochette and dust bag are missing - What would you do?

Is it easy to get the clochette , keys and lock from Hermes even if the bag is not under your name?

I'd say you aren't getting "everything," and--why aren't you? Why would you trust a reseller who is allegedly selling an authentic, brand new Birkin that's missing its component parts? (Not a direct answer, but I know I'd be asking myself that.)

Yes but you have to take the bag into the boutique for them to see and pay for the missing lock keys and clochette.
I dont think you'd get a new dust bag and you should ask for a refund to cover cost of the missing items.
I would however hesitate to call it 'brand new with everything' if those important items are missing.
My gut feeling would be to cancel the order and get a refund

Brand new with everything? Everything inlcudes the clochette, keys, lock & dust bag if the bag is
brand new
That's a red flag to me, JMO
Have you authenticated this Birkin by any chance? If not, perhaps consider doing so

Ordering accessories is timely. I’d gone in some years back to order a strap and was told it couldn’t be done, they were not taking orders for small items only large leather goods. So you’d really need to ask first, I personally wouldn’t buy the bag, something is very strange that these accessories are not included.

Cancel order. That’s not what you bought. I’m also sure that since you bought from a reseller you paid a premium. I wouldnt want a THING missing; not even the air pillows lol

I would be hard pressed to trust them going forward.

Echoing everyone else’s advice here. Cancel your purchase - you’re not getting what you paid for.

It sounds like you are only getting the bag. I'm assuming no dust bag and no box. Unless you got the bag close to retail I would say to pass on it. It will be difficult to sell if you ever wanted to sell it down the road. A buyer would question if its authentic without any accessories for it and chew you way down on price.
Also my opinion only, I would say it is difficult to order a clochette, keys and lock from the boutique whether you bought it there or not. It is not that type of store. They'd be wondering what you're up to like putting it on a fake bag or trying to sell it on the side for top dollar.

Cancel and get a refund. Hermes will not work on a bag that has any outside work. I have recently had a boutique purchased bag need extensive repair and I was asked to confirm a number of times from after sales service and Paris where and by who the bag was purchased despite it being purchased by me at my home store recently from my SA with my receipt on the system. The double checked it every time and, of course, I was telling the truth. I have never purchased from a reseller and after that experience I never will.

I would personally return for a refund. Its not as described and I would never buy a 'brand new' bag that was missing so many key parts.

Hi everyone thanks for your answers!
So I spoke to the reseller and they have the lock, key and clochette
The only thing missing is the dustbag
The price is of course over retail as it is brand new from 2022 - however it is around 2k below what other same birkin bags have sold for

Would you still buy it ?

Purchase only upon independent authentication (Bababebi is the gold standard)
If it fails, is it returnable?
