buying anniversary or half-eternity ring

Hello,
I'm looking for an anniversary or half-eternity band. I don't want a full eternity because my finger size has been going down as I've lost weight and I don't know where it's going to end up. I'm at a 5 and 3/4 right now but my weight has a long way to go.

Does anyone have advice or suggestions on buying an anniversary or half-eternity ring? thanks. I'm saving up money which is frustrating because it seems like it will take forever before I'm ready to make a purchase but I'm hoping time will go quickly.

You could try checking out some of the reputable online sellers. Last year we upgraded my wedding set through Blue Nile. I was skeptical but we are more than pleased with our choice. We ended up also buying a ‘pseudo eternity band’ (diamonds only halfway around) at the same time (for the same reason as you—lost weight but still more to go). We saved thousands of dollars and I was able to hand pick my diamond according to my own perfectionistic standards. Definitely do your homework, read reviews, and compare prices. Have fun!!

We went with Blue Nile half eternity band, I liked the half more than the full just personal preference. I am thrilled with the ring, the diamonds are so so sparkly !

I'd get a 3/4 eternity, or at least 3/5, because with half you'll still see a little metal on the sides of your fingers. As long as it's not full eternity it'll be sizeable.

Congrats on the continued weight loss, and also good choice on your next ring! Band styles are my favorite, because they're so easy to wear. Luxurious feeling without being flashy.

This one's mine, I got it second-hand. I'd suggest looking through eBay and 1stdibs, you can see a lot of different styles across eras! Bar set (what I got) is no longer popular these days, but I just absolutely fell in love with it.

For me, I would get a full eternity. The whole point of an “eternity” is the symbolism... one love, no beginning, no end.

Anything else is just a band with diamonds, nothing unique.

I also love love love the way an eternity sparkles when the hand moves... a full circle of diamonds, so beautiful.

The eternity is stunning and I love the symbolism.

Just my two cents.

I have found full eternity bands to be uncomfortable to wear when grasping items, carrying items, etc. For some reason full and half are not all that flattering on everyone either unless the diamonds are small and the band is more delicate. My vote is for a 5 stone ring so the diamonds can be larger!
