Buying a Birkin in the UK..? :-)

Hello! The other day I went into Hermes in Manchester to put myself on the waiting list for a Birkin bag, thinking I would probably put a deposit down, but the lady took my details and what colour I wanted etc but said they have so many orders right now that they just do this? Does anyone know how long it will take them to contact me back? I know there can be a 2 year waiting list I'm just wondering! Thanks xox

Unfortunately there is no fixed answer, it can take a few months or a few years, really no way of saying...
