Hello everyone!
I sold a Gucci GG Marmont bag back in July through Paypal and now 5 and half months later the buyer claiming “A.F.” service said it’s fake and wants a refund! Has anyone used them before, how could they claim something is fake when I know it’s not?
What are my rights with PayPal?

I responded to her that the bag is completely authentic as I purchased it directly from Gucci. Also submitted screenshots of credit card statements and gucci.com order confirmation.
Additionally, I had originally listed the bag in Poshmark, but the buyer wanted lower price and proposed to pay directly via PayPal. Huge mistake, I’m probably being scammed now!
what are the chances PayPal will make me refund the buyer?

The timing is interesting, because PayPal gives a buyer 6 months (180 days) to file a claim. The buyer seems to have waited to get this in under the wire. The good news is you have all your documentation, if so let her go through the formal PayPal process. It will be a pain, but sounds like you have a solid case. You can see the PayPal help section on disputes and claims here.

I had something similar happen, and I had every evidence in the world the bag was authentic including texts with the sales associate. However, I called eBay to report her because I found out she had lied about taking the bag into the boutique and eBay upper management said basically they ALWAYS take the side of the buyer. Fortunately the buyer in my situation backed off but basically you can try to resist and hope the buyer backs down but apparently eBay will back the buyer never the seller in the US.

Ebay does usually side with the buyer but it doesn't sound like this was an eBay purchase. Generally PayPal will ask for proof. I'm not sure if your receipts will outweigh her report from "A.F." service but it is worth fighting. Good luck.

This is in the eBay forum so that’s why I responded the way I did. I will be curious to what PayPal says if this has nothing to do with eBay.
