Hi all,
I just sold my authentic Chanel wallet last week. Buyer paid, and I shipped the wallet the day after I got the payment.

Today, I received an message from the buyer and asked, where is price ticket? He said that I put the item as new with tags. Okay, The wallet was brand new, with the authentic card and the little envelop come with Chanel. So, I think those are the "tags".

Apparently, the buyer is looking for the price tag. Does Chanel wallet come with price tag? I never have the tag come with it.

So, I explained it to the buyer, then, the next message I got from him was states that the wallet nothing matches my description and it is not authentic. He is going to return it to me and want a full refund.

I would like to check with you how do I handle with this? I already states that I do not accept return on my list. And I also have a copy of the receipt to approve where it was purchased from. How does ebay handle this type of case as well?

Thanks in advance.

I hope that you took detailed pictures of your Chanel bag, including any and all identifying marks. What this seller may try to do is return a fake bag to you and claim that it was the one he received from you. At this point I would just tell him that you will accept the bag only if it's in the same condition as send, including any paperwork or tags that you sent. I would also message him that you have pictures of the original bag and video taped the packaging. Even if you don't have any of those things it will make him think twice about trying to scam you by returning a fake Chanel. When you relist the item make sure that you are accurate in what is included such as any tags, cards, receipts, dust bags etc. or a buyer may file an item not as received claim if you refuse to accept a return. Good luck!

I hate to say this, but I must agree with the above poster. Better to have your wallet back then have to deal with a pita buyer down the road. Just make sure it is YOUR wallet, as advised above, and that you do as suggested when you contact this buyer. For your next listing, make sure to note whether it comes with the price tag or not. Some stores are notorious for taking the tags, such as Chanel boutiques.

Hi, sorry to hear about this. I WILL NOT take back the bag unless I am very sure that it is MY bag. Heard too many stories about people returning fake bag, even to shopping malls.

Once, sold a Coach bag and buyer claimed that mine was fake! Was saying that her friend who was a re-seller told her that i sold her a fake bag! Really pissed me off! :storm: I am very sure that mine is auth as I bought it personally myself. Refused to take back the bag (though sum was very small, less than $100 ). Told her to make a police report if she feels that mine is a fake. With the report, then I will return her the $$. She stop bothering me after that. Block her ever since. Some people are just trying their luck.

Stand for what you believe. DON'T be bullied!

I know that when you buy items from Chanel in US, you normally get price tags. but you won't get anything if you purchase it from Europe. I think you can try to explain this to him and convince him that no price tags doesn't mean it's not brand new or not authentic. Definition of tag could be interpreted differently as care card, or price tags. Rather than relying on price tags, you can propose to the buyer to authenticate the wallet at the authentications thread, or use etinceler authentications service with small amount of fee. Hope this helps!

Thank you all. The buyer already filed the claim and I told him that I will accept the return. I did took the photos of the wallet when I packed it.
I just think it's not worth to go through ebay and paypal since paypal already hold up my account. Another lesson learned, Tags, not just the tags, but also price tag.
