I already own and love both of these bags. However, I own over 100 bags and am trying to pare down. I definitely have other bags I could part with instead of one of these, but I was just wondering about popular opinion based on looks and color alone (not practicality, as they are both equally as useable). Would you choose one over the other? Or would you love and use both of them? The green one has a suede pocket on the front and a faux snakeskin flap, with smooth leather everywhere else. The burgundy/bordeaux is smooth leather all over. DF1955BF-44BC-45C4-8012-42D9782AAE81.jpeg

I personally like the green, and I could def justify keeping both as they are classic colours, but I think you should keep the one you use most and sell the other is you are serious about paring down (I probably have around the same amount of bags, certainly 50+).

I feel like the hardware is more of a showstopper on the green. That may be a negative (I love loud things) but I think it’s a positive and combined with the texture, I am voting keep the green.

I really like the burgundy version too, but I feel like the burgundy while a staple... you can find a showstopping burgundy bag in every house. This one I’m not quite as impressed by as the green!

I love the green too! I ran in to the outlet for a quick peek on my way home one eve, not planning to buy anything. She jumped out and stole my heart the moment I opened the door. I wanted to see if others thought the same or if it was “too much”. I have used her on the daily rather than just dressing up. However, being suede, I worry she won’t stay nice. The burgundy/bordeaux is very pretty and practical and I can use it for occasions I need a bit more durability. I am considering parting with, but I really don’t want to. It’s one of the only bags in this color I’ve seen and liked. So I’m torn as to whether to sell it back to seller as requested, or keep it.

I would keep the green one, but that's just because I love everything about it - it's green and is made of three types of leather, including my favorite suede and mock snakeskin. It pops more than the burgundy one, but I don't think it's too much. It would probably look better with accessories/clothing that ate more on the simpler, minimalist side.

But the burgundy Sunset is beautiful too. It's as tough a choice as it can be (kidding, 'cause first world problems.) If you have many burgundy and/or dark red bags in your collection, then perhaps you should let this one go, if you must choose one? Also, I'm not exactly into YSL, but I would assume that the Sunset in plain burgundy leather is easier to come by than the green suede/mock snakeskin one. So if you were to sell one of those beauties and then regret it later on, which one would be easier to find?

Then I suppose I only really have 2 questions: Keep only the green or keep both? Thank you for your well thought response!

I would keep the Burgundy...
I am not a fan of snake skin.
I’m glad to know the burgundy is desireable! I was concerned I had bought a bag that I would regret. I like it, but it’s not my absolute favorite. I think I do like it better than some of my Chanel bags though, so not ready to part with it if I receive encouragement to keep it! (P.S.The green bag is not real snakeskin). Thank you for your thoughts. :)

Thank you for voting. Please continue! Leaning toward selling the burgundy back to the seller, as I love the black on black and could be open to buying that one down the road.

You're doing so well on the downsizing! :ghi5:

I voted for the green, just because it's such a good shade of green, and the mixture of leathers works so well, but it's your choice because you're the one who has to wear the bag.

Here's how I would decide:
If you were getting dressed for the day and choosing between 3 green bags in your collection, would this Sunset be the one you would reach for over the others? If yes, then keep it.
Similarly, if choosing between 3 of your burgundy bags, would you choose this Sunset over the other burgundy bags you own?

That way, you're not picking between 2 bags from the same style and brand, instead you're removing your least favourite from each colour category.

Hope that makes some sense! :P
