Burberry won’t replace plaid

I'm assuming this was Burberry in Chicago and not some random dept store.

It should be replaced with whatever it had originally. Suggesting otherwise would totally compromise the intrinsic value of the coat generally (never mind for you personally). I'd call or WA call Customer Service on+1 877 217 4085

If you don't get any help from HQ US side write to [email protected] or in writing (take a copy) Horseferry House, Horseferry Rd, London SW1P 2AW, or all CS +44 203 402 1444 . They also have a WatsApp

I would advise to not let this go. Keep us updated, we are outraged for you!

Update: I made several calls and sent several emails and this is how it endedpros: this lining is actually much heavier than the original Burberry plaid lining. They did not charge me the $250 for the repair. Cons- forever gone the gray Burberry plaid lining. I really don’t think I will buy another Burberry product.

That's incredibly strange.

Im so sorry this happened to you. I’ve had issues with a leather Burberry trench that (Burberry could not help, so I asked for a third party recommendation and they couldnt even give me that).

OT, but a similar crappy service aftercare issue happened to me with an LV trench which is why I don’t buy any more LV RTW.

I had a terrible experience with a Burberry wallet repair. My zipper pull had fallen off. I dropped the wallet off with the zipper in the coin area, and of course my contact details. My wallet had a matte gold finish. 3 months later I got a Facebook message saying my wallet was back - they had lost my phone number and email address. Zipper pull was replaced with a random shiny gold pull that didn't even match the shape of the original pull. I decided to never purchase Burberry anything again. How on earth did they lose the zipper pull I gave them? I am still bitter about this wallet and it has been 5+ years.

Sadly I had a problem with my Burberry puffer coat. The zipper was ripped off at the bottom. Burberry didn't use a coating for the bottom area of the zipper. I will pay for fixing because 'it is a user error' and out of warranty.

It is so sad to hear all these problems for a luxury brand. And makes lots of sense why they are losing money.
