I've wanted a Burberry scarf forever, and I'm wondering if I should finally pull the trigger. I'm debating between getting either the wool/silk blend or the cashmere. I already know regardless that I want the Archive Beige color.
I live in California where the weather really just fluctuates between 60-80 degrees year round, so there's very little opportunity for me to wear cashmere scarves, which is why I was originally thinking about getting the wool/silk blend. However, after reading reviews, I'm worried about how easily it snags, and I don't want to spend 400+ dollars on an item that won't survive past a few wears.

Does anyone have the wool/silk blend? how did the quality hold up?
Should I get the cashmere and only be able to wear it for a few months in the "winter", or should I opt for a more year round scarf at the risk of it being a bit more fragile?

I don't think you would need cashmere in california. It is far too warm there even in the dead of "winter". I think you will be much happier with a silk or silk blend. I don't have a silk/wool blend but my cashmere one has held up well but I rarely use it. (Maybe 6 times in 12 years).

Thanks for everyone’s opinions. I ended up trying both in store, and I wasn’t a fan of the wool silk blend cause it was a bit itchy because of the wool and my skin is sensitive.

I absolutely loved the cashmere, and I decided to just jump on it. I travel a lot in non-covid times, and I’m also unsure if I’ll be living in California forever, so if I can wear the next 10 years, I’m okay with wearing it a few times a year.
