In today's NY Times, there is an article about the making of the Isabella Rossellin bag being made by Bulgari in croc.

It is really quite interesting. It's a lovely bag and MUCH less expensive than an Hermes croc. It was clearly inspired by the Kelly, but does have some unique characteristics of its own - the clasp is pure jewelry.

Has anyone see this bag in person?

I have never seen this bag but it looks very pretty. seems like a lot of other brands are copying Hermes marketing tactics by showcasing the artisan approach of a hand made high end bag.

I think I saw online that the croc is between $19,000 and 20,000.

Yes, Vuitton also has recently had an article in the NYTimes showing the atelier. Clearly, what Hermes is doing sells and others will copy.
