I'm starting a thread to discuss Hermès bucket bags that aren't Picotins.
I recently got a Museliere II (stamped 2001) in Silver Metallic and Anemone as well as a Toile Saxo in Gray and Black. My husband also has a Mangeoire Play (but I'll let him talk about that).
The Museliere II is a cute tiny bag! I'm not sure what leather the silver metallic is...possibly goat, but the Anemone bucket insert is Lambskin and is wonderfully soft and luxurious...especially considering it's 20 years old. Relatively little is available about these buckets, and they don't seem to come up often, but as far as I can tell, they should have come with two inserts (and mine only has one). I've been watching this one for a few months and got lucky recently when the seller accepted a much lower offer than I expected. I'm aware it's been said that the spa can't do anything about metallics, but I'll at least take it in and ask.
As far as details, the bucket insert is the only item with any H stampings or indications... with the Hermès logo stamp on the bottom outside and the date blind on the bottom inside (E in a square = 2001). While the outer support strappy thing doesn't have any H marks, it's clearly made by H...no denying their quality or stitchwork. All the snaps are leather covered, and the snap across the handles can be used to snap the entire bag closed, if desired. Here's a bunch of photos..met my max of 12 in this post, so will post the rest in the next comment. I realize the condition is "rough" for the outside handle portion..but the bag is quite unique and special, and I love it regardless (even if the Spa can't make it better).
The Saxo is a bag I picked up for walking the dog. It's super utilitarian and I love it. It's an MM size (I thought I was buying a PM and was initially disappointed, but this will be more useful overall). It has a big open bucket, and like the Museliere II can be snapped closed across the top (this time at the base of the handles). It has four separate outside open slots as well as a large zippered compartment inside. It's quite lightweight and rugged. Love it.
