Imagining a dark red, I think Bronze goes better; here is the bronze for future reference. The Gold seems too light, photo also included for future reference.

thanks a lot! im also thinking of the bronze one. i read another thread on what colors pair with bronze and i got a lot of conflicting reads, like some say bronze is ok with gold, some say dont mix metals. some say bronze isn't ok with blue (but ravenclaw's emblem is blue and bronze!). Do any of you know where I can find a list of the dress colors I could wear with Bronze if I get that?

I think of metallics as almost pure neutrals. So both the bronze and gold will pair beautifully with your red clothing.

That being said, I tend not to like mixing metals unless it’s intentional and is a meaningful part of the “look”. So, I would consider what jewelry you will be wearing most often and coordinate with that. HTH!

At a glance the bronze seems to have a richer colour but that’s based off an online photo. Is there any way for you to visit a Dior store?

Sometimes you end up picking something completely unexpected when trying on the items physically in store and having all the options within reach.

I agree with @Sparkletastic in that I consider bronze a neutral as well, being a metallic. I think either color option you are considering would pair beautifully with a red gown of any shade. The bronze, at least from digital/online photos, actually looks more like a "dark gold" than a bronze to me.

I think in this case it doesn't matter that the chain and the bronze are not "matching" metals. As far as mixing metals (the chain of the bag vs your own jewelry), IMO mixing metals isn't a horrible thing to do if none of your jewelry is large/statement enough that it would compete for attention in your outfit, if that makes sense. If you do it with intention (having different metals in your hair, jewelry, bag, shoes, etc.) and everything balances harmoniously, mixing metals can look really lovely.

As far as choosing between the gold and the bronze - I agree with @Christofle here: if you can go to a store with a swatch of your gown (or at least a photo) to look at both colors in person, I think that would be my recommendation.
