That's a very sleek bag. What size did you get? I haven't seen this one IRL & wonder just how big the large shoulder bag is in this style.
He also has a watch style with this same name.
This bag is about 10x6x3, it is the larger flap bag, with the shorter shoulder strap, this bag is not a cross body, the smaller bag is a cross body. It is stunning in person. It has a built in credit card holder in the bag. It could be used daily. It reminds me of a copy of a Chanel bag, I noticed that he has some quilted Chanel like bags out this season. I use to think all he does is copy other people's designs, but this bag is exceptional in my opinion very elegant and well made.
I think here is the issue, perception while some styles do share similarities, i don't believe a brand alive hasn't um, inspired itself by another design.
Many of his bags are well made, are all? no, but again that can be said for all brands.. always a few duds in the lineups.
I own a Marly bag done in calf leather, the design is unique and the quality excellent.. most have no clue it's even MK.. back to perception folks get an idea 'this is all he makes' and don't realize there is so much more.

That a very nice, classy bag. Congrats! , You won't regret taking a second look at MK,, because MK really does have many of his own unique styles of his own.. Here is an example of a bag from his Naomi collection.
Whom would you say this is copied off of?? And trust me, there's a gazillion more designs like this, many have never seen. . You just have to look. All designers bounce off of each other at one point or another.. MK just gets called out on it more than the others.
.But his own designs are gorgeous! Some of his styles he comes up with are very unique and,totally blow away anyone elses, IMO. Does Louis or Chanel have a bag like this? I don't think this Naomi is copied off anyone and there are plenty more from MK that are all his own. Just have look past the rumors.

Wow, your bag is beautiful. Brinkley has a late 50's early 60's vibe, it very much reminds me of one of my mom's bags, your bag has a 70's vibe, I really like it. I see the beauty and quality of MK's bags. He really is smart from a business stand point, he has created affordable elegance there are a few people that feel that he has infringed on their territory. I believe that a lot of designers have over priced their items, it has become more about the money than fashion. MK uses good quality materials and sells at good price points. I think his prices are fair. It works for him and the consumer. Enjoy your bag. I keep staring at mine.
That style has a similar aesthetic to the Chloe Marcie IMO--there a several other variations of the Chloe Marcie.

Aaah, but which one came first??? lol! My MK Naomi Satchel came out in 2007 and says so on the date code. What year is the Chloe Marci from?? And, I don't see any zippers or buckles on the Chloe anyhow?? So yes, that would be your IMO.

Both the Chloe and the mk are nice bags, similarities? sure i can see it.. but so many brands do this? a bag is a bag is a bag.. eventually basic shapes, styles run out and everyone starts repeating and inspiring off each other.
