I have noticed that Brighton Blue is only available in Togo leather for the 35cm Birkin. In a case like this, does that make it harder to get (than black for instance which comes in every leather type)? Please advise!!!

You should speak to your SA about that. I am sure they will make whatever size you want, unless it's a discontinued color.

We were told just about a month ago by our SA that this is a hard color to come by...maybe for the reason that you pointed out or...maybe for other reasons that we don't know but bottom line is that it is hard to get...I like that color for my wife but now she's opting for blue jean as it is probably realistic in getting her hands on one...good luck!

Most of the Blue Brighton color bags I've seen are in Clemence and my store has not been getting anything in this color for months.
I have a BB 35cm Birkin, and it's in clemence. Most of the BB items I've seen is actually in clemence, not in togo.
