Hello everybody!



I am currently planning to buy my first designer bag. At first, I wanted to purchase a Louis Vuitton Keepall 45 in Monograme Eclipse, but I realised that it is too big as an everyday carry-on or business bag. Therefore, I looked out for briefcases and stumbled upon a lovely Prada nylon bag (pictures attached). I love the sleek look of the Prada; however, I think that €1300 is quite a lot for a nylon bag and i heard there were quality issues with Prada recently. I went to my local LV Store the other day and found a comparable bag, i.e. the LV Porte Documents Voyage PM in Damier Graphite. It is approximately 20% less expensive, furthermore I have to admit that the quality was better at a first glance in comparison to Prada. What is more, the shoulder strap is made from leather, giving the bag a more valuable look.



I am into fashion but I have merely little expertise on designer bags, may I ask for your opinions on these two? Which one would you go for? Which one is more likely to keep its value and is all in all more desirable? Has anyone experience with the aforementioned LV bag in terms of its quality?

My vote for LV for its overall durability. More so when you intend to use it daily.

My DH and I love Prada Nylon, between both of us we have several, two totes for me (love them so much for traveling) and he has 2 crossbody and a duffle. They are so light and durable (only the external nylon) but you have to deal with the interior fabric which may tear over time. If Prada addresses that and change it to a more durable material, I would go for Prada anytime.

Try out both items; load all you would carry in them and you would know which one you like best.
