Anyone heard of the Brellia cushion diamond or purchased any cushions from GOG before? Is it worth the premiums for a Brellia cushion or would you rather get a bigger carat size for a non branded ideal cut cushion? Anybody purchased cushion diamond from GOG before? Please share some photos and feedbacks about the light performance! Thank you!

Yes and I am a repeat GOG customer. I don't own any cushions currently but I think if you like the faceting of that cut its a winner. They specialize in so many really amazing cuts--and excel with cushions. I would actually ask them to provide a selection of well cut cushions in your budget besides just a Brellia with say a few color ranges and clarity ranges you're comfortable with and then let them put a video together.
Most or all H&A cushions are going to be branded so choose the vendor/brand you're most comfortable working with. I have utmost respect for Jon and the GOG team, I wear my GOG bling proudly!

I almost wanted to order from GOG but in the end i went to my local jeweller and paid a deposit to custom cut a 1.4 to 1.49 ct brellia cushion for me as they carry brellia for asia market. Expected specs is abt 1.48 ct, abt 6.35mm x 6.35 mm x 4.4mm , G,vs1,no fluorescence. Is usd$16200 plus too much to pay for the diamond w/o the settings? I could have gone for a cheaper cushion and go up in size or go for an ideal cut round then make the halo cushion shaped. Btw cushion faces up much smaller than round right? Is my cushion too small for a 1.48ct? I think it faces up as a 0.9ct round diamond. I prefer a larger looking diamond but i like a cushion shaped diamond. I will be doing a double halo setting with each halo around 2mm so that adds up to 8mm width. Is that too overwhelming?
Cushions do face up very small compared to a round for their weight. Sizewise that is not unreasonable for that carat weight--cushions vary wildly and carat weight is no indication of a cushion's dimensions. Regarding price--a branded custom cut is going to come with a pricetag. That doesn't seem unreasonable at all considering it's cut to order.
For the setting--I don't think that's a bad sized halo. Will you be seeing CADs and a mockup before it's cast though? I'd want a wax before it's finished to confirm I am happy with those dimensions. So maybe keep that one in mind and consider asking for those things along the way. The diamond is going to take a while to cut, so take the time to do the setting right.

Thank you ame. Yup they did a CAD for me. Now I requested for the wax. They said they could do a wax for me. They said however, the wax would not be an accurate reference for the exact dimensions of the ring.This is because, the wax is made to take into account of gold weight loss and polishing. Hence, it will be roughly and thicker than the finished ring.
I still insisted on the wax. They do not carry lower than a G colour,vs2 in their store and the upgrade policy would be based on the specs that they carry. But they made an exception to custom cut a G,H,I,vs1 to vs2 for me. In the end, the diamond turns out to be a G,vs1 but i haven get to see it yet because it is still in AGS lab.

Thank you! Yup that was really quick. I wondered if this is a trade in diamond that has undergone recertification because they do accept trade in with 100% value of the diamond minus the cost of the cert. But i quite like the diamond. It has edge to edge sparkles! I couldn't load the video here.
The melees look gorgeous too. I am thinking of doing a tennis bracelet with the cushion melees but i need to get a quote and compare around to see if its worth the price.
