And overcoming fear. For the first time in my bag loving life, I have decided not to stopping wearing my most prized bags throughout the inclement seasons yet to come here in the Northeast. It's about time. I'm sixty one years old and have to wonder what am I waiting for? If I don't quail at going out in wind and weather, why should my bags be exempt from daily life? Really, what's the worst that can happen....?

You are absolutely right! Personally, I have realized that weather conditions have rarely threatened my bags. Even my Balenciaga City knows everything about pouring rain and survived! Enjoy your bags, Fim, rain or shine. They are like us....stronger than we think!

You're absolutely right, Mariapia. My projected bag budget for all of 2015 is $200. Which makes not using the bags I have nonsensical. If one of my bags doesn't survive a Western New York winter, "c'est le guerre".

:lolots:

Fim and Mariapia, how I wish I had your mindset! I generally still check the weather forecast before heading out, and that still plays a big part in my decision on what bag to bring out that day. Sigh.

Don't be too hard on yourself, Maice. I can risk being cavalier at this point in my life. Pics will follow as my bags brave the elements. Of them all, my Orange Rouille First is more than up to the challenge. After all, she survived her bout with Goat Pony, only losing a few inches of tassels in the battle. So in a way, my First inspired me to take this next step.

I carry my all pursse in bad weather. If I have a plastic bag handy I will cover the purse. Otherwise I just wipe it down. The only bag I do not take out if there is a even a slight chance for rain is my box leather purse. I agree with Fimpagebag our purses need to live too!

I couldn't agree more, Surfchick.

Our well travelled bags succeed in fulfiling their destiny as companions, rather than languish in their dust bags as mere accessories.

Hahaha! So Goat Pony's naughtiness actually helped you  Give her a hug for me... she's just too adorable (when she's not going after one of your bags)! :giggles:

And I would LOVE pics, Fim! Looking forward to those ;)
