Earlier in the week I purchased a peach coloured tote from an outlet store - was my favourite purse I owned. Today I have discovered it has multiple sections of discolouration on it I haven’t worn anything even remotely coloured like it and have been trying to get it out for HOURS, whatever I use on it has made no difference. Does anyone have any recommendations that aren’t alcohol, magic eraser, or leather cleaner. Or would the outlet be willing to exchange a new one - I honestly don’t believe that I could have caused it

It looks like colour transfer unfortunately. Anything can cause it. Coats, pants etc. Doesn’t matter how old they are. Search colour transfer on the board - there have been a few people who have had some success removing it.

It does look like colour transfer but if you didn't wear any denim...
The way the colour has rubbed onto both sides of it...did you wear it with a dark coat? If it was sitting on your shoulder, held under your arm, the coat would have rubbed it on both sides that way.

Not sure how to get the colour off. Warm water and soap often works for me, but that's if I get to the stain soon after I spot it. Can you try that before trying anything harsher that may ruin the leather?

Of course, if you think it was stained before you got it (and you just didn't notice until now) then you should return and exchange.
