Just bought my beautiful Pochette Accessoires in Damier Azur. Haven’t used it yet due to concerns about vachetta and color transfer on the beautiful canvas! I know people use Apple Garde on the leather. Can it also be used on the canvas to prevent staining or color transfer? I’m an Apple Garde newbie. Thanks in advance.

I spray all my Azur bags with Apple Guard. I spray the entire bag....leather and canvas. I use a paper towel to wipe the hardware off after spraying. I do two coats lightly and allow it to dry 30 minutes between coats. I've never had any issues. It does give me more confidence about not getting color transfer but I'm still aware of what I wear and try to avoid dark colors that haven't been laundered several times when I'm wearing my Azur pieces.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I think I need to do this. I was planning on being careful with the DA regardless but this will give me a little piece of mind.

Today I FINALLY got a Neverfull (this has been a long time coming!) Now I’m trying to decide whether or not to treat the leather. I’m not averse to patina at all, and I’ve never treated my 3 year old DA Favorite, but I plan on using the neverfull much more regularly. I’d love to get an idea of the percentage of people who treat their vachetta and would love feedback from anyone who has a particularly strong opinion either way.0B59441A-05D2-4370-B0F7-8478EA4803A7.jpeg91A1920C-21F5-4A57-BCD7-2E990892126A.jpeg

I do because I like to slow down the patina process. Also, I’ve seen many Neverfull handles look really dark in the middle due to the way they are handled over time. But it more depends on how you use it, and how often. I don’t mind water marks, etc. I just don’t like when the handles are dark and dirty looking. All personal preference.

How much would you say it slows down the process by?

I would not treat the leather and canvas. I have a 5 years old DA Propriano and it‘s in excellent condition and I didn‘t treat it. Just be careful with hand sanitizer and creme when you touch or hold the handles.
and my reco is to avoid dark clothes and Jeans where the bag rubs against

I treated my Noe BB DA, just leather part, I feel more comfortable treating than letting it be. I treat all my vachetta, well I like a little patina, but definitely not the dark dirty ones. it is like providing protection on own skin then let it be damaged naturally
