I recently ordered two bracelets from Tiffany to try on at home, the black T square bracelettiffany-tsquare-bracelet-36537973_963050_ED.jpgand the makers wide chain bracelet.tiffany-1837makers-wide-chain-bracelet-in-sterling-silver-and-18k-gold-63448966_1003720_ED_M.jpg
I really like the black bracelet, but I was concerned about how it would wear over time, given that it is black coating over steel and can end up looking like this:IMG_0830_1c66423d-0061-4989-a512-0fa4a443776f_grande.jpg IMG_0828_d2ac37da-b63b-4b6b-b5c6-921ef741d194_grande.jpg
I called Tiffany to ask if they would be able to either repair or entirely strip off the black coating, and I'm glad I did, because they said they don't have the tools to do either. I personally don't understand why they would make and sell a $1300 coated steel bracelet they can't provide after-sales services for, but IMO it's a little pricey for what is essentially disposable fashion jewelry, so I cancelled the order.

I still like the T square bracelet and am considering it in silver or gold, but leaning more toward silver. Do you think the silver version would hold up as well as the gold over the years for daily wear?

I should be receiving the makers bracelet soon, and while I think it looks amazing on some people, it may end up being a little busy for me personally.

I would appreciate any input/advice and created a poll up top. Thanks!

Hi! I like the T bangle a lot more. Both the silver or gold will get banged up a bit as it’s a bangle (all my bangles have scratches, even my Bone cuff has scratches at the top).

You can polish up either and it will look fine. I’m a white metal gal so I would get the T in silver. It’s what metal you prefer. Since you got the black at first, my gut is the silver might be more your look.

Good luck!

I think it depends on your style and the “look” you want. I have the wide chain bracket, tumbled version, and love it but it’s slightly more casual then the t bangle imo. Attached picture for reference.

I would get the T bracelet but I'm biased since it's on my wishlist, too. As you said the T bracelet has a more "clean" look. I would also prefer it as a stand alone piece since it has more presence in my opinion.
Depending on the metal I would go with what you wear more/fall in love with. I think both are beautiful options but I think I like it more in the white metal. Have fun deciding!

Thanks for all the advice so far

Typically I go for white or mixed metal jewelry. Here's my current work-from-home stack, for example:

My current go-to pendants are white or mixed metal as well:

I like the idea of the classic look and durability of the gold T bracelet, but I also like the more contemporary look of the black and silver versions, so it's hard to decide.

I'm thinking of shelving the search until the stores reopen and I can try on each piece and get the full Tiffany experience, but I would love to see more T square bracelet pics and other unisex/men's Tiffany bracelets while I decide

P.S. I don't know why my Peretti necklace pic attached, but it's one of the few solid yg pendants I wear. I couldn't decide between gold and silver, so I actually own both.

That must be the Dover Street Market version of the bracelet. Very nice! It's cool how the tumbling makes the 18k bolts pop out more, and it looks great stacked with the other bracelet.

The beveled links of the standard version are nice but a bit "blingy" for my taste, and the DSM version actually convinced me that the standard bracelet would look great with everyday wear and minimal polishing.

I am curious, are one or both bracelets an everyday, all-occasion wear for you?

You might check out the diamond point cuff and Paloma groove cuff if you are looking for a cuff. Class designs but add some texture.

Yes it’s the DSM version but you can now purchase them through the Tiffany store, just not online. I’m hoping they come out with more pieces in the tumbled version. I agree with you that the polished looks more blingy, which is why I went for the tumbled. Well that and less upkeep. The Venetian is everyday wear, which needs cleaned, and the other I usually add/wear on more casual days.

Update: I wanted the black T bracelet but they can't refinish it once the black coating rubs off, so I cancelled the order.

I wasn't sure what size Makers bracelet I liked so I ordered both to compare, and ended up keeping them.

I recently added the Venetian bracelet to a tableware order on a whim. It's such a classic and easygoing piece that it's been on my wrist ever since.

I apologize for the delay. Once the dilemma was resolved I lost interest in following up. Thank you to everyone who responded!
