Boyfriend is buying me a bag. Help!

So my boyfriend is buying me a bag of my choice for our one year anniversary. I don't have many designer bags so I have no idea what to pick. I have some time before our anniversary so I still can figure out which one to get. What would you all suggest? I want something that is timeless. He said it has to be $1000-$2000

I use crossbody bags because it's easier with my wheelchair. Yesterday we stopped in saks and I really liked the chloe bags. Particularly the Marcie. I would love a chanel classic flap but I know that is definitely out of the budget. I lovecoach and own a vintage Coach janice bag but since this is a gift I feel like I should go for a luxury brand.

well you do like crossbody bags, if you are looking towards LV, there are a few options that's within your budget. There is the speedy bandoulaire from $1430 (price just increased). There is also the NeoNoe; Southbank Besace and a few others. All that I have mentioned can be used casually. There's a few options with Gucci as well...The Soho disco, the matalasse etc. There are a few fashion houses you can look too with that price range in mind. Good luck!

Gucci wise I'd recommend a dionysus, marmont, and or a Gucci reversible medium tote.
