Boy bag med rhw or diamond anniversary band

I have the classic double flap and am trying to decide if I add a second Chanel to my collection and go with the boy bag or if I go with a diamond anniversary band .

Thank you everyone for taking the time to respond or vote . I keep going back and forth. I have always loved the Chanel classic flaps and just purchased one pre loved as my first designer bag purchase. When I was looking at the classic, I started noticing the boy more and more and thought maybe it would be nice for more everyday use. I actually did purchase the boy pre loved right after and am within the return window right now. As I think about it more and more knowing the price, I have started to have some hesitation and buyers remorse . Not that I don't love the bag!! But that it's a lot to spend for two Chanel's and maybe something like a diamond ring would be more "forever". I also would be looking for the boy to be a more everyday bag whereas the flap will be more special use but also times when I will wear as daily use. I could do something like a Celine belt bag or the lv speedy pre loved which I have posted other threads about trying to get input on those AND a diamond anniversary band vs the Chanel boy which would be the sole purchase. Hopelessly deadlocked!

I would not use a Boy for everyday! It can get damaged easily and loose it’s structure. My Boy was my first Chanel. I loved it for years, but I am too scared to use it.

Hi thank you that's good to know and was kind of my fear for having it more for "everyday". Now that I own one designer bag , I do see the benefit and the huge quality difference to what I have been using and notice a gap in that I want something I can use often which I am too afraid to be using the double flap all the time. If the boy is prone to corner wear (which I read too) as well as the structural that does make me even more hesitant to spend that money right now and makes me a little more prone to thinking about getting more of a everyday and then the ring

I used a Chloe bag for years as my everyday bag. I just purchased a Reissue to use for everyday. But I know I will need to baby it.

The reissue is not something I had considered. I do love the look of it and it appears it can be worn crossbody like the boy bag. What size did you go with and do you feel from a wear and tear perspective the reissue would hold up better?

It doesn’t seem to have the cardboard body like the Boy. The leather is very delicate. I have a 225 for weekends and it doesn’t hold much. I went with the 226 so my phone could go in the back pocket and I can bring my wallet, sunnies, car key case, card holder and other miscellaneous items with me. It does become very heavy, so I think I will sell my new wallet to help with the weight and use two card holders.
