Boulogne vs Speedy B20 - Which Crossbody Do You Prefer?

Hi all, I've been reading the different threads here and watching YouTube videos, but still having a difficult time deciding between the Boulogne and Speedy B20, and will appreciate hearing your opinions please for a daily crossbody bag. I've tried both on.

My daily bag is a monogram PA. I have a Neverfull MM DE and Speedy B25 Black Emp I use when with the kids. I know I want the Alma BB in black epi later this year.

Boulogne Cons:
- I don't like wearing it with the gold chain because of the noise it makes rubbing against the monogram anytime it moves, chain can just be removed and used individually though.
- To me, the strap on crossbody setting isn't comfortable at the shoulder when wearing a tank top due to the buttons.
- The interior fabric seems loose and the sides dimple, I worry about canvas cracking longterm?

Speedy B20 Cons:
- I don't mind the guitar strap, it's comfortable.
- It's boxier than the Boulogne so sticks out more

Both are so cute, great capacity, and weather proof. Thank you all!

Based on your description, it sounds like you're leaning towards the Speedy B so I would go for that. I know a lot of people or not a fan of the guitar straps, but like you, I actually like the guitar strap and I also think it's comfortable. Yes, it will stick out more when wearing it crossbody, only you can decide if you like that or not.

I tried the Boulogne on and did not buy it due to the strap. I cannot wear this "new style" strap that is on some LV's these days. No way. It is VERY uncomfortable. I will not buy any products-shoes, handbags etc. that are not 100% comfortable.

I actually think the guitar strap on B20 is a plus, it’s so cute and fun! I really don’t think the B20 sticks out a lot, people overdramatize it.

I have both and love both but I agree with **Chanel** that from your comments it sounds like you’re leaning more towards the speedy 20. As a rule I never purchased multiple bags in the same style but that philosophy went out the window last week when I bought my second speedy 20. Just a few things regarding your Boulogne concerns: I keep my bags stuffed with air bags with not in use and noticed that the upper corner dimples on my Boulogne have improved greatly. I haven’t found any issues using that strap crossbody but maybe my shirt material is thicker. I also use the Boulogne strap and chain with many different bags (the strap is especially awesome on a PSM). The speedy is timeless though and yes it can stick out a bit, but not much more than the Boulogne does. Both are wonderful bags and excellent choices. Boulogne can be dressed up but the speedy is casual. One last thing to consider is if you would rather have DE or Monogram? Good luck with your choice!

So true! My Speedy B25 sticks out way more than a 20 and I'm fine with it.

Haha I try to limit the type (capacity and wear method), but everything is so cute, it's hard! Thank you for the details on the Boulogne, good to know! Definitely DE - needs to be weather proof and my brain can't handle vachetta.

Boulogne is weather proof (if you choose the black leather trim). No worries at all but the space capacity for boulogne is actually about the same as speedy 20. It’s not that “big” as it has a slimmer profile and the shortest height of curved zip is about as tall as the speedy 20.

However, the difference is the zipper top is “flat” for the boulogne and “spacious for the speedy 20 which means you can fill it to the top easily for speedy 20, if you can understand my description. But the Vachetta trims on speedy 20 gives me lots of anxiety!!
