I bought my dream dress from an online sample bridal store and the dress is perfect I love it ! But I got the dress and they lied about removing two stains one small one and big one about 1-2 inches big both are black,,,, any way to remove them ? I really love the dress and their is no way to wear it with these stains and also this dress is from a very old maggie sottero collection it's not anywhere else. I put picures down they sent me before they were supposed to remove the stains.... they told me they did and sent it but its still the same I just want to show the dress to get opinions on how it looks but the stains are in the pictures that are at the back of the dress.

Hi, congratulations on your dream dress! I would call the seller and request that they either remove the stains as promised or give you a discount. When trying to remove stains I wouldn't try something myself but give it to dry cleaning. If you don't have a trustworthy cleaner yet do your research first. I always (when it's a delicate and special item) bring it directly to the store, or at least give them a call beforehand to be able talk about the item in question. If there's a way to get the stains out they can!

Return. Imagine getting a discount from seller, then running into probs with dry cleaning bc the stain isn't removed properly. You'd be out of money and a wedding dress. More risk and stress that you dont need, esp during pre-wedding planning.

Did you purchase the dress with a credit card? Perhaps your credit card has some kind of purchase protection? Or maybe the credit card company can backcharge the seller.

Debit card and those options don't seem to be available plus they haven't been answering back at all... I don't know if this dress doesnt work out I think I am gonna for the Grace Loves Lace Hart gown

Hm debit card makes it harder to get your money back. I suggest using a credit card with some sort of purchase protection for any future purchases like this. If the seller isn't responding then that's not a good sign. Hope you can find another dress that works out.

Wow you have been dress shopping for a long time! Glad you have finally found the “one”.

I see the one mark on the back but I cannot see the other one. I don’t think I would try to remove them- you could cause a bigger problem. Well, that’s not true, *I* would try (q-tip and tide mixed with water) but I don’t recommend it

If this is “the” dress or they are refusing to respond, the only thing i can think of is to consult a seamstress and see if an appliqué could be applied to hide it. You could do white on white down the hip for a subtle look or one with silver to match the existing ones. You’ll
Likely be bustled for most of the evening so it won’t show.

I was going to say: I must be looking at screens for too long because I can see the one stain by the back of the knee (?) area but not the 2nd. And even that took me zooming in to find it.

I’m leaning towards cleaners/professional/seamstress opinion. Honestly - as a wedding guest I don’t think I’d notice the stains. Buy unfortunate the seller was not more upfront

I don't see the 2nd spot either.
Do you care if the train is shorter? I think it would look very good bustled and that would hide the spot. It looks like you could do a single point, starting higher up and then work with the seamstress to get flowing folds if you want more points. Adding a long veil would look great too.

The problem with the cleaner option is I paid for a dry clean and they said the stain is removed which it wasn't. So I am thinking maybe since they already sent it that the dry cleaner can't remove the stain?
