Bought my first pair of Loubs, not impressed with customer service.

I bought a pair of sandals “Bombinetta Spikes” online, it was the last pair in my size. They were £690.
When they arrived I tried the first one on. Then went to get the second one. As it caught the light the shoe was all dirty inside. I looked and it was sticky and looked like a dirty footprint inside.
I contacted customer service. She said she could not locate another pair, it was either keep them or return them for refund. No apology (at first) just take it or leave it. I LOVE the sandals. I kept them and had to clean the inside with antibacterial wipes.
Is that good enough for a “luxury” shoe brand? I feel really disappointed. It was a little treat for myself and it feels tainted now. I’ve attached pictures of the sandal before I cleaned it.
I wrote back to them about their lack of apology. They then apologised. Big deal!

If you used alcohol based disinfectant wipes, I highly suggest applying a conditioner to prevent the leather from drying/cracking as alcohol will strip the natural oils right out of the leather.

Sorry to hear about your issue.

I understand your annoyance as I received a pair of LV sneakers that arrived with a pen mark and had to ask the SA to use a suede emory to remove the pen marks. Not what you would expect for the price point but it was the only pair in Canada (since they ordered them in specifically for me).

I did use a leather cream afterwards. That’s terrible about your shoes too. What on earth is happening?, it’s like they’re taking liberties. It should be a special thing buying expensive goods. At the prices we pay we should be buying perfection.
