  1. So I know we have a thread on otk boots but I thought it would be helpful to have a thread where we say what type of leg we have and the boots we tried. It may be helpful for other people to see how people with similar sized legs did.

    Height: 5'3

Elie Tahara Tabiatha Over the Knee
Fit on calf. Actually tight on upper thight (but likely due to height issues) Leather was a little too soft and bunched at ankles

Tods Gommini Leather and Suede Knee
too big in calf, too high on knee
  3. I know that no one else is using this thread. but i am putting in my scavenger hunt results because i know this info would have been helpful for me (in a list form).

    Height: 5'3
    Shoe Size: 8 (38eur)
    Calf Circ: barely 12"

    Belle by Siegerson Morrison
    Stretch Leather Over the Knee
FIT WELL!!! Wore with JBrand thin jean.

Betsey Johnson Wendell Over the Knee
    Suede and Leather upper
Fit is good. I may go down a size to see if the calf gets smaller but very nice, may keep.
Tried w/ JBrand jean and then also tights'wendell'_boot:304987&cm_ven=Froogle&mr:trackingCode=2CCC7EBE-8EC2-DF11-A490-002219319097&mr:referralID=NA
  4. Oh my goodness. You do have tiny calves. I have the opposite problem. I have a hard time finding tall boots that fit over my calves.

    Height: 5' 7"
    Shoe Size: 8
Calf Circ: a smidge over 16.5"

I have found that many boot manufacturers make what they call a "wide shaft" boot that will fit over my hurking big calves. Once I found what the manufacturers called them, it helped a lot in my search. You need to search for "narrow shaft boots". Try it, it will pull up lots of different websites.
  5. ok I only can remember a few names for now- but as I remember more, I will add to the thread:

Height 5'0" but with extremely long legs
    Shoe size 7
    Calf Circ- under 12"

    Perfect Fit:
Stuart Weitzman 50/50's. I can wear with leggings and skinny jeans

    Too big:
Steve Madden Entyce- had them taken in almost 2 inches in the shaft and they are not as tight as I would like them to be...they are also baggy in the ankles for me, but that is to be expected when you have bird legs like I do.
  6. omg  I have enormous calves compared to you ladies ( ' (oo) ' )

    Height: 5'0
    Inseam: 29"
    Shoe size: 35.5
    Calf circumference: 13"

    Perfect fit:

Stella McCartney over the knee boot - easy to pull on, very comfy, easy to walk in. Slouches a little bit, but not enough to make your legs look fat, and it still stays above the knee

Christian Louboutin python Lili 120 thigh high boot - while getting these boots on is arguably a two-person operation, it is so incredibly worth it! on me, without scrunching, they go all the way up to the top! like pythons ate my legs, but in a sexy way (^(oo)~)
  7. Height: 5'3
    Shoe Size: 8 (38eur)
    Calf Circ: barely 12"
All tried on with thin tights

    Too Big
    Stuart Weitzman
    5050 OTK
    Size 7.5

sadly too big in the calf. It may have been fine if my legs were longer (or the boot a bit shorterbut the gap was right at the back of my knee and just looked/felt odd

    Stuart Weitzman
    Workit OTK
    7.5 and 7
Both sizes were too loose in calf. This boot did look better than the 5050, prob. because it was slightly shorter (20' rather than 22.5)
  8. Thanks! I appreciate all the time you took to do this! I too have a narrow calf...not quite as narrow as yours but find most boots are TOO big.... frustrating. I do have a Tory Burch and a Stuart Weitzman boot that fits. thanks again for all your research:biggrin:
  9. Thanks for taking time to do the thread, I have skinny calves - 12.5 and find most boots too wide. Never tried having them taken in by cobbler though, I just look and look and sometimes get lucky.
    Height 5'6"
    Shoe size 6.5-7
    Inseam 30"
*SM Haviland seemed OK over leggings, haven't tried over skinny jeans. Ordered too small of a shoe size though*
*Vince Camuto Fays fits well over skinnies, stays up as the leather is not too soft, OTK covers the kneecap perfectly, can be folded down and tightened with lace at the back for a tighter fit (haven't tried it yet)*
  10. very interesting thread! i must go an measure my calves haha
i have always had a problem with boots being too big around the calf =)
