    I just found Bonzanzle! I spotted a bag I want butI'm wondering - is there an advantage for sellers to use this website over Ebay? It seems like it would get less traffic, so why would people put purses on there and not Ebay (although I've noticed some people put their purses on both).

    Has anyone purchased anything through that site? Thanks!! :ty:

    if you do a search you'll come up with several threads about bonanzle/ebay, the good thing for sellers is that it costs practically nothing to sell on bonanzle and the listing will stay active until the item sells, unlike ebay who charge you to list and take a chunk of your sale too, and only give you up to 10 days per listing
    i sold a bbag on bonanzle and all it cost me was $5

    Yep Ladyisobel has captured it in a nutshell! Bear in mind, Bonanzle is a newer less established site but we are championing it a bit over here - you'll find many TPFers on there, so yes, whilst there are more sellers than buyers for now and a lot less traffic, it will hopefully continue to grow in the future and take on evilbay...We can dream... :smile:

    You mean on TPF? No, there's absolutely no buying or selling at all except in the Marketplace, so if someone were to contact you through private message and offer to sell, it is breaking the rules - i would continue with Bonanzle/Ebay for now and there are a number of consignment sites - ann's fabulous finds, Fashionphile, Realdealcollection e.t.c that are worth a look.

    One last thing, while in general everyone here is above board, honest and just have a passion for bags (or shoes!), there are people out there using the TPF name in vain i.e stating in their listing "TPF member" when they're not, so always make sure to try and check out their username over here so you know who you're dealing with...:smile:

    OMG I had no idea! Thanks so much for letting me know. Those fakers are getting savvy....

    Just a thought - maybe one of the fakers would try to authenticate their own bags on tPF if someone requested on a thread. I guess we always have to check and see when they joined.
