I've read several threads on this and just want to make sure my bases are covered.

I sold a brand new bag on Bonanzle last week. Tags are still attached and there were two minor flaws which I photographed and noted in my auction.

The seller received the bag, and is claiming that it smells like fish and that she can smell it across her house. She also said she brought it into work and her co-workers agree.

Not only am I a neat freak, I also have Asthma and cannot tolerate odors of any kind. I sell bags frequently, and never come across this. She has buyer's remorse.

What recourse does she have since my auction stated final sale? I've read that paypal does not entertain non-eBay SNADs. I really think this buyer is full of it and should just re-sell if she has changed her mind. TIA!

That's the bag and I know the buyer posted on TPF also. Her claims are absurd. I sell bags often and have never experienced anything like this. There was some discoloration on the bag, which I photographed and noted. When she mentioned that the bag was "floating around on eBay"... she contacted me there first about purchasing it and then agreed to buy on Bonanzle. My eBay auction had about 12-13 images of the bag.

I am an honest person, and the first to admit when I'm wrong, but this bag absolutely did not smell, nor was there discoloration beyond what was noted and photographed. This seller clearly has remorse and frankly I'm afraid to accept a return because she might swap it for a fake or possibly used and damaged the bag. I had a bad experience accepting a return for a Burberry last year, which is why I no longer accept returns.

oh..i read that on the YSL subforum. i did suggest her to get a refund. not really undertanding the whole story.
i think from this point...it's better for her to post pictures of how bad the color not matching to your description before taking further actions. i think i just might do this after this post.
oh my...i hope this can be resolved.

I have a pit in my stomach. I described the bag accurately, wear included and know for a fact that it did NOT smell. I am asthmatic with awful allergies and have an attack if someone is so much as wearing the wrong perfume. If this bag had any sort of odor, I would have been aware of it.

Not to mention this seller received this item a few days ago... and is now having a change of heart.

I sold a Burberry clutch with a return policy last year. The buyer changed her mind and sent it back not only used, but severely damaged. I had to spend $50 at Burberry to have it repaired and it still wasn't like new. I also know buyers will mail back empty boxes, fake items, etc.

I don't want to be a bad guy here, but really think she has a case of remorse.

Hi there,
I am the buyer of that bag. I sent you a message earlier today but have not heard back. First, let me clarify that I do not have a buyers remorse. In fact, I wrote my post and asked if I can possibly dye the bag or clean it - and then got input from other TPF members that I should return it. When I contacted you I also did not say anything about a return, but wanted to inform you that I am not happy with the purchase.
Next, let me clarify, if you read my post you can see that I did not say the bag was "floating on ebay" - it was a comment by someone else.
Sounds to me you are very angry and throwing accusations such as saying that i am "full of it"
If you read my posting and my message to you, you will see I am not throwing accusations but simply asking for help and advice.
You can see my feedback and see that I buy a LOT of much more expensive bags constantly and NEVER had a return, complaint or what you call "remorse". There is nothing I want more than for this bag to be what it meant to be - I even considered dying it and called YSL to ask if they can help with getting the fish smell out.
You could at least contact me to discuss the issue - however I have gotten no response.
It is also strange you are denying the bag smell as some other TPF members confirmed that the muse bags especially blue ones tend to have that smell - see my post for this info.
I am going to photograph the sides and post it here for clarification.
Other tpf members who read this please read both sides of the story to make a judgement.
Thank you.

I think you guys--buyer and seller--need to discuss this privately. Two threads about one transaction with the seller on one side, the buyer on another, and who knows what being PMd to one side or the other...that's just going to provoke drama.

^^i think from this point...some pictures would help a lot.
i looked at the auction from bonz...the bag already faded quite significantly...

i hope you two can sort this out.

I absolutely agree. In my original post I am asking if I can dye or clean these defects and get rid of the smell somehow. I am still interested to get advice on that.
However as far as back and forth with the seller - I did send her a message and hope she will respond. I am open to any kind of communication here.
However, I will definitely post images as soon as I can.

Thank you,

I know you're open to any communication here, but that's not usually allowed. Buyer/Seller issues among TPFers are supposed to take place on eBay, BonZ, email, whatever. If you want advice about coloring the bag, I would post a thread in the YSL forum, as the ladies there will be better equipped to help you with that.

I understand. This is exactly what my original post was about - please see it for reference. I was asking for advice.
