Just thought I would ask you knowledgable ladies this question. :smile1:

I really want a charm bracelet with just a round tag on it.

I already have two Tiffany charm bracelets. One with the RTT heart padlock and another with the watch charm. I really don't need another bracelet. I love the look of this one

Another option would be this but I feel it may be too small for the look I want.

Then I found this plain charm on blue nile.

Do any of you have this? Do you know if it will fit on my existing bracelets?

It's much cheaper than going to Tiffany even including engraving and it would give me the size I want.

Just thought I would check with you all before I hit buy!!! :graucho:

I would go with Tiffany (the charm only). Even though it's way more expensive than the Blue Nile, I think it's a little more versatile. I have a heart charm from a necklace I bought and love wearing it as a necklace and a charm on both the link bracelet and the bead bracelet. Unless you are simply buying it for the engraving, I think you would be much happier with the Tiffany charm.

I think the Tiffany charm is too small, I much prefer the one that is permanently attached to the bracelet. That's why I am looking at alternatives.
I also will only wear this as a bracelet charm.

Thank you for your thoughts!! I appreciate your help.

Anyone else have any experience of the blue Nile charms?

Thanks to you for your reply.

I went to go and buy either the charm or the bracelet today and they didn't have them in stock. I called ahead first to ensure it wasn't a wasted trip. They had one bracelet left with the fixed charm but it was a display one and they told me it was scratched.

I was very disappointed. Our Tiffany here in Perth, whilst I have always had wonderful customer service, has horrendously low stock levels.

I think I will wait a while and see if something else takes my fancy. It's a lot of money for something so similar to what I already own.

I still want a round tag charm or bracelet one day. Whether it will be Tiffany's remains to be seen.

If anyone can weigh in on the Blue Nile question I had originally please do so as I am still undecided.

Thank you!

BlueNile doesn't make all their own jewelry. Their silver I've seen from them is lightly rhodium plated. While very nice when you first get it, when the rhodium wears, the wear is inconsistent and looks horrible.

I have one knockoff necklace from them, listed as sterling silver. I also have the real thing from Tiffany in sterling, both the same age, the BN version would pass for cheap costume jewelry.

Other sterling items from BN have been just as disappointing. If this is something you want to wear often and not just for the sake of having a round tag, I would look elsewhere.

My experience too. I love silver jewelry, but the sterling bracelet I bought from BN was pretty poor. Lightweight, overpriced. I felt like I was paying mostly for the FedX shipping and all the pretty packaging. I returned it.

James Avery is very nice. The silver is thick, strong, and wears very well. I have quite a few JA pieces and really enjoy wearing them. If I recall, JA does have a disc charm and/or a disc charm bracelet.

Thank you for that. I appreciate your honesty. I really hate buying without seeing. So I have the Tiffany bracelet on order. It is what I really envisage when I think about wearing it. So it will be worth the wait.

Thank you for your help in getting to this decision. :smile1:

Thank you. Both you and Tygress convinced me the extra spend was worth it. So I have the Tiffany bracelet on order.

I will have to do a reveal when I get it. :D
