Bloomingdale's $25 gift certicate..can it be used for Chanel purchase?

I received multiple $25 Bloomingdale's gift certificates. Just wondering if these can be used towards Chanel purchase?

I tried to use mine last week and the SA wouldn't accept it; saying restrictions on certain brands... Were you able to use it?

Yes I just used them last time. Make sure you use it before expiration date. Not sure if you can use it for gift card but I doubt it.

Can you use the $25 gift certificate while ordering via phone or you have to be physically there? My Bloomingdale's do not sell Chanels...

Yes you can...if they don't let you ask to speak to the manager. I accrued 3 of the $25 gift certificates so I decided might as well apply it to my Chanel purchase (help out with the taxes). The manager at the boutique saw my bf with me and said if we open a 2nd account under his name I could get the 15% off as well. Plus the purchase gave me enough points for more $25 gift certificates! ... But then again this was last June :/

I was always able to use mine. I don' t know if anything changed recently.
