Is anyone familiar with the quality of the diamonds used in Bloomingdale's Luxe Collection pieces? The diamond tennis necklace trend has caught my eye and I came across some good prices for them at Bloomingdales. Unfortunately, I have no way to view these pieces in person so any input or photos of your pieces is appreciated.

Thank you all for your time!

I can't speak for Bloomingdale's, but with the exception of Costco (who surprisingly offer pretty high quality diamonds in many of their pieces), in general department stores do not offer the best quality in terms of diamonds. They are generally not as well cut (which is the number one factor in how bright and sparkly diamonds appear) and are of lower color and clarity vs. what you will find from reputable jewelry stores and reputable jewelry retailers. I use the term "reputable" because there are many jewelry stores and jewelry retailers that are far less than reputable (think mall/chain stores like Jared, Kay, etc.). If they have a good return policy there is no harm in ordering and returning. But if you are seeking quality, it is best to stick to reputable jewelers and jewelry retailers.

Thank you for your input. I had figured as such. As they say, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Please share if you have had luck with finding an amazing tennis necklace from an online jeweler that didn't break the bank. We are still playing it safe with no in-person shopping for my household...

I'm looking for a well-made one - durable and sized for everyday wear to layer with a yellow gold paperclip chain necklace (though I wear both white & yellow metals).
